"With a reference from my primary care provided, Dr. Albert Alessi, I engaged TriCore for help to lose weight and get back in shape. This experience has far exceeded my expectations. Historically, I have been loathe to go to the gym and I also avoid the constraints of regular meet ups with a trainer. I have access to an excellent gym and had an initial meeting with Nic Newell from TriCore there in October. He captured images of all the equipment available, put me through a preliminary work out and then designed a routine for three days a week. TriCore uses an app that gives me the work out for the day in great detail and allows keeping track of weights and settings. Beats the heck out of a clipboard and paper! The work outs were designed specifically for my needs and there is a video demo of each routine or exercise. The app tracks my activity, progress and milestones. Diet and nutrition was also addressed and the app gives you accurate accountability of calories and macros that makes tracking what I eat very easy. Nic actually sat down with my wife and I in our kitchen so we were both educated about a sensible diet that supports health and fitness. The only equipment I purchased was a new WiFi scale that tracks weight and body composition which syncs to the TriCorp app. Nothing fancy, no expensive supplements or gimmicks. Five months in I have lost 25 lbs, my clothes fit (pants are actually too big now) and I look pretty good for a 68 year old. Nic and I meet at the gym periodically for a check point review of what is working and re-design of my workout and healing program. I have always had discipline in getting to a goal without having someone watching me every step of the way so this hybrid flexible approach works perfectly for me.
